Susan Stinson is an Environmental Specialist whose experience runs greater than twenty-four years in environmental protection, enhancement, low carbon energy and sustainability.
Susan’s eight year tenure working at The City of Calgary’s Environmental & Safety Management business unit has been focused on a variety of environmental sustainability and low-carbon energy initiatives. Over the past year, she has worked with a team of dedicated climate change professionals, leading the implementation activity for the Community GHG Reduction Plan. Working through the newly formed Community Initiatives team, Susan’s activities include engagement with key stakeholders toward greenhouse gas reduction projects, strategies and action plans.
Prior to her time with the City of Calgary, Susan worked as an environmental technologist for the environmental consulting sector providing field-testing for regulatory compliance the oil and gas industry. Susan also worked for seven years for Alberta Environment as a groundwater information contact and liaison for the Province of Alberta and later as an ISO quality assurance contractor for the pipeline industry.
