Stephanie Jackman founded REAP in 2006 with the vision to create a greener economy where citizens understand and value the impact of shopping locally, and businesses understand their role in creating a just and healthy world. REAP, which stands for Respect for the Earth and All People, officially launched in January, 2008 with three Founding Members and has since grown to 100+ Calgary businesses. Collectively they represent $4 billion in annual revenue, 7500 Calgary area jobs, and $8.5 million in donations to local charities each year.
Stephanie comes from a marketing background. She has held senior positions at Ogilvy and its consulting division, Brand Insights Group, helped establish the strategic planning community at Venture Communications, and run her own successful consultancy – called Blueprint Brand Strategies – since 2000. She has a Masters degree in Global Management from Thunderbird, a Bachelor degree in Mass Communications from Carleton University, and a Certificate of Community Economic Development from Simon Fraser University. She is a Top 40 Under 40 alumna (2005) and has been named as one of 20 Compelling Calgarians by the Calgary Herald (2009). REAP has received the imagineCALGARY Partner in Action Award (2009) and the Pathways2Sustainability Leadership in Commerce award (2013).
