Paul Evans always wanted to work in a meaningful way to improve the natural environment. His career and qualifications reflect that he believes environmental practitioners need science and engineering skills to work in his branch of practice. He trained as a geological engineer and later gained an MBA. He was a founding member of the Environment Practice at EBA Engineering and has played a key role in developing that practice ever since. In a consulting company you are only as good as the people on your team, so Paul places a lot of emphasis on both the quality of the people that join, but also in their development. Science and Engineering are moving at a rapid pace and practitioners need to keep current. They also should be encouraged to grow personally to take on the challenges that lie ahead. It is hard to deliver the wide range of skills from one company and that’s why he is pleased now to be part of the Tetra Tech family.
